The Airbus A320-200 was first introduced with Air France in 1988 and nearly 4,400 have been delivered. The initial variant of the Airbus A320 Family, it was followed by the stretched A321 and the shrunken A319 and A318.

The aircraft is 38 metres or 123 feet in length with a wingspan of 36 metres or 118 feet. At the tail, the Airbus A320 stands 12 metres or 39 feet in length. The maximum flight range is 6,100 kilometres.

As of June, 2018, Air Canada has 42 Airbus A320-200 aircraft in their main fleet. These airplanes are used strictly for flights within North America and have a range of 4,442 kilometres. All these airliners are configured for a maximum total of 146 passengers with 14 seats in business class and 132 economy class seats. Previously, they were configured for 144 passengers with 24 business class suites and 120 seats in economy class.

Deliveries of this model to Air Canada started in 1990 with the last delivered in 2003. C-FDQQ is the oldest currently flying, delivered on January 19, 1990. C-FZQS is the newest, delivered on December 11, 2003 (both of those aircraft are featured on the site – just follow the links below). The current fleet contains several A320’s that were acquired from the now defunct Canadian Airlines in 2001.
