Founded in 1933, Air France is headquartered on the grounds of Charles de Gaulle Airport in Tremblay-en-France. In 2003, the French airline merged with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Air France has a main fleet of nearly 210 airliners flying to over 200 destinations around the world. The fleet is led by the Airbus A380-800. They are the largest operator of the Airbus A318-100 and are the launch customer of the Boeing 777-300ER.

Air France is a founding member of the SkyTeam Alliance. Other founding members include AeroMexico, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air. The alliance was founded in 2000, has 20 full members and is headquartered at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands.
