China Eastern Airlines was founded in June, 1988. The airline is a member of the SkyTeam Alliance and is headquartered on the grounds of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport in Shanghai, China. China’s second largest carrier by passenger volume has a fleet of 467 aircraft, flying to 217 destinations worldwide.
The fleet is led in size by the Boeing 777-300ER. The most numerous aircraft is the Airbus A320-200 with 171 and 52 more on order for 2017. Added to that number are 70 Airbus A320neo models to be delivered between 2018 and 2020.
