JetBlue was founded in August, 1998 and commenced operations on February 11, 2000. The airline is headquartered in Long Island City, New York and has a fleet of 238 aircraft flying to 101 destinations. The fleet consists of Airbus A321-200, Airbus A320-200 and Embraer E190 aircraft with Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo models on order.
The airline flies to destinations in the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America. JetBlue was the launch customer of the Embraer E190. They were the first American airline to fly scheduled commercial flights to Cuba since the Cuban Revolution in the 1950’s.
