Saudia, also known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, was founded in September, 1945. The airline is owned by the government of Saudi Arabia and is headquartered in Jeddah. The airline has a fleet of 175 aircraft with over 125 destinations worldwide. The highest number of one type of airplane in the fleet is the 42 Airbus A320-200.
Saudi Arabian Airlines has been a member of the SkyTeam Alliance since 2012. SkyTeam was established in 2000 and has 20 full members. Headquartered at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands, founding members include AeroMexico, Air France, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air.
