Air Canada was founded in 1937 as Trans-Canada Air Lines. The name was switched on New Year’s Day, 1965. There are over 170 airplanes in the airline’s fleet, flying to over 180 destinations worldwide.
A founding member of the Star Alliance, the airline is headquartered at the Air Canada Centre on the grounds of Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) in Dorval, Quebec.
If you’re returning to the site, you may notice the format here has changed. Instead of listing all our featured Air Canada aircraft in one list, we broke it up by aircraft type. Each link below will take you to the page exclusively dedicated to that specific type of aircraft in the fleet.
Note: This includes the main fleet and Air Canada Express. However, Air Canada Rouge aircraft can be found on an entirely different page. Find that here: Air Canada Rouge.
