With WestJet Airlines since 2015, we photographed C-FUJR on October 7, 2018 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). This Boeing 737-800 is a comfy fit compared to WestJet’s new ultra low cost subisidiary Swoop. Swoop’s version of the B738 crams in 189 passengers.

C-FUJR
C-FUJR performed its first flight on March 19, 2015 and was delivered to WestJet Airlines on March 27, 2015. Currently, this Boeing 737-8CT is one of 42 in the main fleet. The aircraft is configured for a maximum total of 168 passengers with 12 seats in premium economy and 156 economy class seats. Compared to subsidiary Swoop, this is quite roomy with that airline’s six B738 airliners set up for 189 passengers in a single class system.
On January 5, 2020, this Boeing 737-800 was performing a flight from Toronto, Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia. In heavy snow, the aircraft overran the end of the runway at Stanfield International Airport (YHZ). There were no injuries but passengers had to deplane where the aircraft stopped and were bussed to the terminal.
