We caught up with C-GJTH just a week after being delivered to Air Canada Rouge. This Airbus A321-200 was formerly in the fleet of the now defunct WOW air. We photographed this aircraft on August 1, 2019 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

C-GJTH
C-GJTH performed its first flight on November 24, 2016. The Airbus A321-211 was delivered to the Iceland based WOW air on December 7, 2016 as TF-JOY.
WOW air ceased operations at the end of March, 2019. This A321 was delivered to Air Canada Rouge on July 26, 2019. The airliner is still configured in the WOW air design with seating for 220 passengers, all in economy class. This is one of 14 Airbus A321-200 models in the Rouge fleet.

Airbus A321-200
The largest in the Airbus A320 Family, the Airbus A321-200 first flew with launch customer Monarch Airlines in April, 1997. A rare, earlier version of the A321, the A321-100, was introduced with Lufthansa three years earlier in March, 1994.
The A321 is 45 metres or 146 feet in length (23 feet longer than the A320) and has a wingspan of 36 metres or 118 feet. At the tail, the aircraft stands 12 metres or 39 feet in height. The flight range is 5,950 kilometres. In all, nearly 1,500 have entered service.
Air Canada Rouge
Air Canada Rouge was founded in December, 2012 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Canada. The brand has a fleet of over 60 aircraft flying to 50 destinations. Prior to March, 2020, there were 25 Boeing 767-300ER, 22 Airbus A319-100, four Airbus A320-200 and 14 Airbus A321-200 models.
The airline announced at the start of May, 2020 that all Boeing 767 and Airbus A319 aircraft would be retired, a result of the COVID-19 fallout. This leaves the brand with just 18 airlines, all either Airbus A321-200 or Airbus A320-200. Through the main airline, Rouge is a member of the Star Alliance.
