With our hundreds of featured airplanes on this site, N182GJ is the first to have a connection to the defunct airline PLUNA. The Bombardier CRJ-900LR now flies for Delta Connection and is operated by GoJet Airlines. We photographed this regional jet on May 20, 2018 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

N182GJ

N182GJ was first delivered to PLUNA on April 29, 2008 as CX-CRC. That airline commenced operations in 1936 and was the flag carrier for Uruguay. Fully owned by the Government of Uruguay, the airline was headquartered in the main city of Montevideo. PLUNA ceased operations in July, 2012 with just a fleet of 13 CRJ-900 aircraft remaining.

On June 1, 2015, the Bombardier CRJ-900LR was delivered to GoJet Airlines. This is currently one of seven CRJ900 airliners flown by GoJet for Delta Connection. The airplane is configured for a maximum total of 76 passengers with 12 seats in first class, 20 more in premium economy and 44 economy class seats.

On February 10, 2017, N182GJ was flying from Boston, Massachusetts to Raleigh / Durham, North Carolina. On the initial climb out of Boston, a smell of smoke was reported in the cockpit. The aircraft diverted back to Boston for a safe landing. A replacement CRJ-700 was brought in to resume the flight.
