One of 57 Airbus A319-100 variants in the Delta Air Lines fleet, N315NB started life with Northwest Airlines back in 2000. The A319 had engine troubles back in 2012, forcing an emergency landing at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). We photographed N315NB on January 1, 2018 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The photos were taken with a Canon Rebel T6i.

N315NB
N315NB took its maiden flight on April 27, 2000 and was delivered to Northwest Airlines on May 19, 2000. The Airbus A319-114 was transferred to Delta Air Lines on December 26, 2009. One of 57 A319 airliners in the fleet, this one is configured for a maximum total of 132 passengers with 12 seats in first class, 18 more in premium economy and 102 seats in economy class.
On June 2, 2012, N315NB was flying from Santa Ana, California to Minneapolis, Minnesota. On the initial climb, one of the engines was shut down after a compressor stall and the aircraft leveled off at 5,000 feet. The airplane went to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) for a safe landing. A witness on the ground heard two loud bangs and streaks of flame coming from the engine.
