N3756 is an interesting coincidence here at It’s About Airplanes. The Boeing 737-800 was delivered to Delta Air Lines on September 4, 2001. Just a few days ago, we featured N842UA, an Airbus A319-100. That aircraft was also delivered on September 4, 2001 but to United Airlines. Both airliners are still going strong with their original airlines.

We photographed N3756 on March 9, 2019. The photos are taken at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) as the Boeing 737-800 approached for a landing.

N3756

N3756 performed its first flight on July 31, 2001. The Boeing 737-832 was delivered to Delta Air Lines on September 4, 2001. This B738 is configured for a maximum total of 160 passengers. There are 16 first class seats, 36 more in premium economy and 108 economy class seats. This is one of 77 Boeing 737-800 airliners in the main Delta fleet.

On September 30, 2012, N3756 was flying from Baltimore, Maryland to St. Petersburg, Florida. On board was the Baltimore Orioles major league baseball team. At 32,000 feet and about 50 miles north of Jacksonville, Florida, an oven in the forward galley began emitting smoke and sparks. The aircraft was diverted to Jacksonville. The aircraft landed safely and the Orioles continued on in a replacement B738 to play the Tampa Bay Rays with a delay of three hours.
