N376NW performed its maiden flight on May 30, 2002 and was delivered to Northwest Airlines on July 11, 2002. The Airbus A320-212 was transferred to Delta Air Lines on March 15, 2009 after Northwest was merged into the giant from Georgia.

This airliner is configured for a maximum total of 157 passengers with 16 seats in first class, 18 more seats in premium economy and 123 economy class seats. This is one of 62 Airbus A320-200 models in the main Delta Air Lines fleet.

Airbus A320-200

The Airbus A320-200, the initial variant in the Airbus A320 Family, was first introduced in 1988 with Air France. Since, nearly 4,400 have been delivered to airlines around the world. The A320 was followed by the stretched A321 and the shrunken A319 and A318.

The A320 is 38 metres or 123 feet in length with a wingspan of 36 metres or 118 feet. At the tail, the aircraft stands 12 metres or 39 feet in height. The flight range for the Airbus A320-200 is 6,100 kilometres.

Delta Air Lines

Delta Air Lines was founded in 1924 as Huff Daland Dusters and commenced operations under its current name in 1929. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Delta currently has a fleet of over 850 airliners flying to over 300 destinations worldwide. The fleet is led in capacity by the Airbus A350-900, following the retirement of their last Boeing 747-400 at the end of 2017.

The airline is a founding member of the SkyTeam Alliance. Other founding members include AeroMexico, Air France and Korean Air. There are now 20 member airlines around the world. The alliance is headquartered at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the home base of member KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

N376NW started life with Northwest Airlines before they were swallowed up by Delta. Other notable airlines to be acquired by Delta include Northeast Airlines, Pan American World Airways and Western Airlines.
