There’s 100 Airbus A321-200 models in the Delta Air Lines fleet but N389DN is the first we’ve captured in Toronto. We photographed this A321 on March 22, 2020 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

N389DN
N389DN performed its first flight on February 12, 2020. The Airbus A321-211 was delivered to Delta Air Lines on February 21, 2020. This is one of the two newest A321 models in the fleet, along with N101DQ. These are the first of this model to be delivered to Delta since mid 2017.
This aircraft is configured for a maximum total of 191 passengers. There are 20 seats in business class, 29 more in premium economy and 142 economy class seats. This is one of 100 in the main fleet with more on the way.

Airbus A321-200
The largest in the Airbus A320 Family, the Airbus A321-200 first flew with launch customer Monarch Airlines in April, 1997. A rare, earlier version of the A321, the A321-100, was introduced with Lufthansa three years earlier in March, 1994.
The A321 is 45 metres or 146 feet in length (23 feet longer than the A320) and has a wingspan of 36 metres or 118 feet. At the tail, the aircraft stands 12 metres or 39 feet in height. The flight range is 5,950 kilometres. In all, nearly 1,500 have entered service.
Delta Air Lines
The airline was founded in 1924 as Huff Daland Dusters and commenced operations as Delta Air Lines in 1929. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Delta is a founding member of the SkyTeam Alliance. Other founding members include AeroMexico, Air France and Korean Air. There are now 20 full members and the alliance is headquartered at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands.
The main Delta fleet has nearly 890 aircraft flying to 325 destinations around the world. The highest capacity airliner in the fleet is the Airbus A350-900. The most numerous in the fleet is the Boeing 737-900ER. All their Boeing 747-400 airplanes were phased out with the last retired in 2017.
