EVA Air Corporation was founded on March 8, 1989 and commenced operations on July 1, 1991. Headquartered in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, the airline has been a member of the Star Alliance since June 18, 2013. EVA Air's fleet consists of nearly 75 aircraft that fly to over 60 destinations (numbers include cargo division).
The passenger fleet is led in size and quantity by the Boeing 777-300ER. The cargo fleet is made up of Boeing 747-400F and Boeing 777F airplanes with the 747's slated to be phased out in the near future. EVA Air has Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 787-10 airliners on order with deliveries expected to start shortly.
