C-FHJU
C-FHJU was delivered to Air Canada on September 15, 2006. The Embraer ERJ-190AR is configured for a maximum total of 97 passengers with nine seats in business class and 88 economy class seats. This is one of 25 E190 models in the main fleet but they are all slated for retirement in the near future.
On March 15, 2011, C-FHJU was flying from Vancouver, British Columbia to San Francisco, California. On approach to SFO, crew experienced problems with the slats. The aircraft was landed safely but at higher than normal speed. As a result, the left side outboard skew sensor was replaced.
C-FHJU was flying fro Halifax, Nova Scotia to Toronto, Ontario on January 8, 2016 when smoke and an electrical smell were detected. The climb was stopped and the aircraft returned to Halifax for a safe landing. The problems resulted from a damaged #2 pack and #2 air cycle machine. As well, the heat exchanger was contaminated. A replacement E190, C-FHNV, was brought in to carry on the flight.
