C-FLSF, our first Swoop Boeing 737-800 featured at the site. The ultra low cost carrier brand by WestJet has been in flight since 2018 and this B738 was transferred from the mainline fleet in 2019. We photographed this aircraft on July 14, 2019 while plane spotting at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM).

C-FLSF

C-FLSF performed its first flight on November 4, 2015. The Boeing 737-8CT was delivered to WestJet Airlines on November 13, 2015. The B738 was then transferred to Swoop on May 22, 2019.

This airliner is configured for a maximum total of 189 passengers, all in economy class. This is one of nine airplanes in the Swoop fleet (all Boeing 737-800 models). The aircraft is named #Bruce.

The most popular variant in the Boeing 737 Next Generation Family, there have been over 4,500 Boeing 737-800 models delivered to airlines around the world. The first B738 entered service in 1998. The aircraft is a direct competitor to the Airbus A320-200.

Swoop

Swoop was founded in 2017. The ultra low cost carrier commenced operations on June 20, 2018. The brand is fully owned by WestJet Airlines. Swoop is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The airline has a fleet of 13 aircraft, with a mix of Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 models. They travel over 30 destinations in Canada, Mexico, the United States and the Caribbean. The main hubs for this airline are Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Edmonton International Airport (YEG).
