C-FLWE
C-FLWE was delivered to Air Canada on July 17, 2007. The Embraer ERJ-190AR currently is one of 25 in the main fleet with phaseouts coming, starting by the end of 2018. The E190 is configured for a maximum total of 97 passengers with nine seats in business class and 88 economy class seats.
On December 1, 2011, C-FLWE was flying from Ottawa, Ontario to Edmonton, Alberta. On the climb out of YOW, at 32,000 feet, the right side engine began vibrating. After deciding to divert back to Ottawa, a fuel imbalance began to develop. The aircraft came back to its point of departure for a safe landing. it was determined that the engine fan rotor spinner had come loose and was ingested by the engine, causing damage to the inlet and fan blades.
Nearly a half year later, the Embraer 190 was flying from Edmonton, Alberta to Montreal, Quebec. At 35,000 feet, just north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, an electrical problem caused the crew to divert to Winnipeg for a safe landing. It was found that the #2 secondary power distribution assembly had failed.
On April 30, 2017, C-FLWE was flying from Seattle, Washington to Toronto, Ontario. At 35,000 feet, just southwest of Spokane, Washington, crew received a forward cargo fire detection and a “CRG FWD FIREX HI ARM” message. The aircraft was diverted to Spokane for a safe landing. No trace of fire, heat or smoke was found. As a result, the wiring and the MAU3 generic I/O module and the cargo fire bottles were replaced.
