C-FYPB
This Boeing 737-8CT performed its first flight on November 14, 2015. The B738 was delivered to WestJet on November 25, 2015. On October 16, 2019, C-FYPB switched colours to fly for Swoop, WestJet’s ultra low cost carrier. The airplane is configured for a maximum total of 189 passengers, all in economy class.
This airliner is named ‘Blowin’agale. Fittingly, it was blown off the runway on November 7, 2021 as a result of a strong crosswind. The aircraft was landing in Abbotsford, British Columbia (YXX) on a flight from Toronto and overshot the runway. There was impact or damage from the incident.
