C-GBHR

C-GBHR performed its maiden flight on January 28, 1998 and was delivered to Air Canada on February 13, 1998. On December 12, 2013, the Airbus A319-114 was transferred to Air Canada Rouge, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Canada. One of 20 A319 aircraft in the Rouge fleet, C-GBHR is configured for a maximum total of 136 passengers with 12 seats in premium economy and 124 economy class seats.

An airplane with a clean safety record, C-GBHR did have an issue back on July 9, 2005. While standing at the gate at Chicago O’Hare International Airport, the Airbus A319 was hit by a flying object. In what could have been a much worse incident, the flying object was a concrete cutting blade that came loose from its machine and went flying. The blade hit the wing of this airliner before embedding in a luggage loader owned by United Airlines. No one was hurt.

The shortened version of the Airbus A320-200, the A319 is 34 metres or 111 feet in length with a wingspan of 36 metres or 118 feet. At the tail, the airplane is 12 metres or 39 feet in height. The flight range is 6,950 kilometres.

Air Canada Rouge

Air Canada Rouge was founded in December, 2012 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Canada. The brand has a fleet of 50 aircraft flying to 50 destinations. In the fleet, there are 25 Boeing 767-300ER, 20 Airbus A319-100 and five Airbus A321-200 models. Through the main airline, Rouge is a member of the Star Alliance.
