Slap a sticker on that Airbus A320-200 and get it in the air! C-GFDU came to Air Canada Rouge on January 26, 2020 and is still sporting some of its former livery from flying with Mexico’s Interjet. We photographed this A320 on March 22, 2020 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

C-GFDU
C-GFDU performed its first flight on May 10, 2007. The Airbus A320-214 was delivered to Interjet on June 7, 2007 as XA-UHE. The aircraft left that Mexican airline in October, 2019 and was delivered to Air Canada Rouge on January 26, 2020.
This airline is configured for a maximum total of 162 passengers. There are 12 seats in Premium Rouge and 150 economy class seats. This is one of five Airbus A320-200 models in the fleet.
Incidents
On August 13, 2018, still flying for Interjet, this airplane was performing a flight from Mexico City to Bogota, Colombia. Cruising at 35,000 feet, just south of Guatemala City, the crew experienced electrical issues. The flight was diverted to Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico for a safe landing.

Air Canada Rouge
Air Canada Rouge was founded in December, 2012 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Canada. The brand has a fleet of over 60 aircraft flying to 50 destinations. Prior to March, 2020, there were 25 Boeing 767-300ER, 22 Airbus A319-100, four Airbus A320-200 and 14 Airbus A321-200 models.
The airline announced at the start of May, 2020 that all Boeing 767 and Airbus A319 aircraft would be retired, a result of the COVID-19 fallout. This leaves the brand with just 18 airlines, all either Airbus A321-200 or Airbus A320-200. Through the main airline, Rouge is a member of the Star Alliance.
