C-GJWN

C-GJWN took its first flight on July 4, 2002 and was delivered to Air Canada on July 22, 2002. The Airbus A321-211 is one of 15 in the airline’s main fleet and is configured for a maximum total of 190 passengers with 16 seats in business class and 174 economy class seats.

On December 20, 2015, the A321 was to perform a flight from Los Angeles, California to Toronto, Ontario. The crew rejected the takeoff at high speed (around 100 knots). This was a result of damage done to the nose gear during the push back from the terminal. At the time, the tow and C-GJWN remained in position for nearly an hour before it was decided to attempt a takeoff. An alternate airplane (C-FGKN) was used for the flight with C-GJWN returned to action eight hours later, performing the flight C-FGKN originally scheduled for.
