WestJet Airlines has 13 Boeing 737-600 aircraft in service. The 13 were delivered to the Canadian airline in 2005 and 2006 and all remain active today. C-GPWS was the first of those B736 airlines to fly for WestJet. We photographed this Boeing 737-6CT on February 17, 2018 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

C-GPWS
C-GPWS performed its first flight on July 24, 2005 and was delivered to WestJet Airlines on August 2, 2005. The Boeing 737-6CT is configured for a maximum total of 113 passengers with 12 seats in premium economy and 101 economy class seats. As mentioned, this is one of 13 Boeing 737-600 models in the WestJet fleet and was the first to be delivered to the Canadian airline.

The smallest of the Boeing 737 Next Generation Family, the Boeing 737-600 is 31 metres or 103 feet in length with a wingspan of 34 metres or 113 feet (without winglets). At the tail, the B736 stands 13 metres or 41 feet in height. The flight range is 5,991 kilometres, the furthers of an Boeing 737 NG variant.
The launch customer for the Boeing 737-600 was Scandinavian Airlines with the first delivered on September 18, 1998. Between then and 2006, there were 69 delivered. The last to come off the line went to WestJet (C-GEWJ). This was Boeing's direct replacement for the Boeing 737-500.
WestJet Airlines
Founded in 1996, WestJet is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. The Canadian airline has a fleet of around 125 aircraft but that number will grow to around 180 in the near future. WestJet flies to nearly 110 destinations in Canada, the United States, Europe, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
Not included in the above numbers are subsidiary WestJet Encore. That regional carrier flies a fleet of Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft. Also not included is new ultra low cost carrier subsidiary Swoop. Swoop began service in June, 2018 with a small fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft. With subsidiaries included, the fleet is nearly 175 strong.
