When we caught up with C-GUFR, the Airbus A330-200 had been back with Air Transat for just a month after a seasonal stint with Thomas Cook U.K. We photographed this A332 on June 9, 2019 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

C-GUFR
C-GUFR performed its first flight on January 26, 1999, not long after the first Airbus A330-200 model entered service in 1998 with Korean Air. The Airbus A330-243 was first delivered to Emirates on March 31, 1999 as A6-EKR.
The aircraft came to Air Transat on April 7, 2016. Between October, 2018 and May, 2019, the airliner was leased out to Thomas Cook U.K. / Condor as G-TCCG. This A332 has been back wearing the Air Transat livery since May 2, 2019.
This airplane is configured for a maximum total of 345 passengers. There are 12 seats in business class and 333 economy class seats. This is one of 16 Airbus A330-200 models currently in the Canadian airline’s fleet.
On July 2, 2011, flying as A6-EKR in the Emirates fleet, this aircraft was performing a flight from Dubai to Kochi, India. Just prior to landing, crew reported a hydraulic pressure loss. The plane continued for a safe landing despite the issue.
Still with Emirates, this A332 was flying from Ahmedebad, India to Dubai. After a routine safe landing, a flight attendant received serious injuries to her back and neck resulting from a fall after the airplane braked hard.

The aircraft is 59 metres or 193 feet in length, 16 feet shorter than the A333. The wingspan is 60 metres or 198 feet and the airline stands 17 metres or 57 feet in height at the tail. The flight range is 13,450 kilometres, over 1,500 KM more than the Airbus A330-300.
Air Transat
Air Transat commenced operations in 1987 and is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The airline has a fleet of 31 aircraft flying to nearly 80 destinations. The largest in the fleet is the Airbus A330-300.
As of May, 2019, the airline was to be purchased by Air Canada. The acquisition was scapped in April, 2021.
