C-GURP

C-GURP took its first flight on February 10, 2019. On February 19, 2019, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner was delivered to WestJet Airlines. This is one of three currently in the fleet with seven more on order.

This airliner is configured for a maximum total of 320 passengers. There are 16 seats in business class, 28 more in premium economy and 276 economy class seats.

There have been no notable mechanical issues in the short life of this airplane. However, on August 27, 2019, there was a bit of a medical emergency. On a flight from Paris, France to Calgary, Alberta, a cabin crew member became incapacitated. The flight was able to continue to its destination.
