F-GZNL is a leader in passenger density. We just finished gathering data for a future article here at It’s About Airplanes. We were comparing airlines with 10 or more Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and how they configured those airplanes. At 468 total passenger seats, this version by Air France is the leading sardine can. We photographed the B77W on June 8, 2018 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

F-GZNL performed its maiden flight on March 1, 2012 and was delivered to Air France on April 3, 2012. The Boeing 777-328ER is configured for a maximum number of 468 passengers. There are 14 business class seats. 32 more in premium economy and a whopping 422 economy class seats. Air France was the launch customer for this model of aircraft and now has 43 in the main fleet.
Boeing 777-300ER
The Boeing 777-300ER was first delivered to launch customer Air France in 2004, nearly a decade after the initial 777 variant was introduced with United Airlines in 1995. The ER is for 'extended range' and this aircraft can fly a lofty 13,650 kilometres between stops.
The B77W is 74 metres or 242 feet in length with a wingspan of 65 metres or 213 feet. At the tail, the airliner is 19 metres or 61 feet in height. Though not the most glamorous of the big airplanes, the Boeing 777-300ER is longer than both the Boeing 747-400 (by 10 feet) and Airbus A380-800 (by 3 feet).
Air France
Founded in 1933, Air France is headquartered on the grounds of Charles de Gaulle Airport in Tremblay-en-France. In 2003, the French airline merged with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Air France has a main fleet of nearly 220 airliners flying to over 200 destinations around the world. The fleet is led by the Airbus A380-800. They are the largest operator of the Airbus A318-100 and are the launch customer of the Boeing 777-300ER.
Air France is a founding member of the SkyTeam Alliance. Other founding members include AeroMexico, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air. The alliance was founded in 2000, has 20 full members and is headquartered at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in Haarlemmermeer, Netherlands.
