TC-JJE is the oldest Boeing 777-300ER in the Turkish Airlines fleet. The aircraft is named Dolmabahce, I assume in honour of the palace by the same name in Istanbul, Turkey. We photographed this B77W on September 8, 2019 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

TC-JJE performed its first flight on September 17, 2010. The Boeing 777-3F2ER was delivered to Turkish Airlines on October 13, 2010. The airliner is named Dolmabahce and is the oldest of 33 Boeing 777-300ER models in the airline’s main fleet.
This aircraft is configured for a maximum total of 349 passengers. There are 49 seats in business class and 300 economy class seats. This is the less dense of two seating plans.

Boeing 777-300ER
The Boeing 777-300ER was first delivered to launch customer Air France in 2004, nearly a decade after the initial 777 variant was introduced with United Airlines in 1995. The ER is for ‘extended range’ and this aircraft can fly a lofty 13,650 kilometres between stops.
The B77W is 74 metres or 242 feet in length with a wingspan of 65 metres or 213 feet. At the tail, the airliner is 19 metres or 61 feet in height. Though not the most glamorous of the big airplanes, the Boeing 777-300ER is longer than both the Boeing 747-400 (by 10 feet) and Airbus A380-800 (by 3 feet).
Turkish Airlines
Turkish Airlines was founded on May 20, 1933. Officially called THY Turkish Airlines, the THY stands for Turk Hava Yollari. The airline is headquartered at Instanbul Ataturk Airport (IST) and has a fleet of nearly 340 aircraft flying to over 300 destinations in 120 countries. A member of the Star Alliance of airlines, Turkish Airlines joined on April 1, 2008. Their largest aircraft at this time is the Boeing 777-300ER, an aircraft they have 33 of.
