Prince would have approved of this airline. TF-GMA wears the distinct livery of Iceland’s WOW air and has been in service since the first half of 2016. We photographed this Airbus A321-200 on March 9, 2019 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

WOW air
WOW air was founded in November, 2011 and commenced operations on May 31, 2012. Headquartered in Reykjavik, Iceland and based at Keflavik International Airport, WOW is a low cost carrier and an affordable alternative for travel between North America and Europe.
In March, 2019, the airline was unable to secure financing. WOW air abruptly ceased operations, leaving many customers on their own to re-book flights with other airlines.
The airline currently has a fleet of 11 aircraft flying to 26 destinations in Europe, Canada and the United States. In Canada, WOW flies to just Toronto and Montreal with those routes starting in 2016. The fleet consists of Airbus A321-200, Airbus A321neo and Airbus A320neo aircraft.
