LOT Polish Airlines was founded on January 1, 1929, making it one of the world’s oldest airlines. The airline is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland and is currently majority owned by the Polish Government. A member of the Star Alliance, LOT joined in 2011. The main hub for the airline is Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW).
LOT has a fleet of 52 aircraft flying to 83 destinations worldwide. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is currently the flagship aircraft for the airline. However, there are four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner airliners on order and destined to arrive starting in 2018.
