C-FTQK

C-FTQK performed its maiden flight on April 7, 2004 and was first delivered to European ultra low cost carrier EasyJet on April 22, 2004 as G-EZKF. Since 2011, the Boeing 737-73V has flown for Enerjet, Transavia Airlines, Everjets and ASL Airlines France. It’s only stint to date with Air Transat was between November 29, 2017 and near the end of April, 2018 with seating for 149 passengers in a single class system.

From 2011 to 2017, the Boeing 737-700 flew for Enerjet. This is a charter airline that commenced operations in 2009 and is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. Without this aircraft (C-GDEJ at the time), Enerjet has a fleet of just one airplane, a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter.

On April 25, 2018, the 737 was returned to ASL Airlines France as F-GZTU. ASL was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Tremblay-en-France, France. Currently, the airline has a fleet of 16 airliners, all Boeing 737 variants with six being Boeing 737-700 models.

Boeing 737-700

The first of the Boeing 737 Next Generation Family of aircraft, the Boeing 737-700 entered service in 1998 with Southwest Airlines. Southwest remains the primary user for this particular model. The airliner is 34 metres or 110 feet in length with a wingspan of 36 metres or 118 feet. At the tail, the Boeing 737-700 stands 13 metres or 41 feet in height. The flight range is 5,570 kilometres.

This variant is in direct competition with the Airbus A320-200. Check out our article, and video, comparing the Boeing 737 Next Generation Family and the Airbus A320 Family.

Air Transat

Air Transat commenced operations in 1987 and is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The airline has a fleet of nearly 50 aircraft (fluctuating seasonally) flying to over 60 destinations. The largest in the fleet is the Airbus A330-300. Arriving in 2019 are Airbus A321LR models, to replace their classic fleet of Airbus A310-300 aircraft.
