C-GHPX

C-GHPX performed its first flight on October 1, 2014. This Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was delivered to Air Canada on October 30, 2014. The B789 is configured for a maximum total of 255 passengers. There are 20 seats in business class, 21 more in premium economy and 214 economy class seats. This is one of eight Boeing 787-8 airlines in the fleet of this Canadian airline.

On May 18, 2019, this aircraft was flying from Vancouver, British Columbia to Newark, New Jersey. The initial climb was halted at 18,000 feet after cabin crew smelled then saw smoke in the cabin. The flight was diverted back to YVR for a safe landing. The smoke was found to be coming from the lower right recirculation fan.
