D-ABUZ

D-ABUZ performed its maiden flight on July 16, 1991 and was delivered to Condor on July 30, 1991. One of 16 in the fleet, this Boeing 767-330ER is configured for a maximum total of 270 passengers with 18 seats in business class, 35 more in premium economy and 217 economy class seats.

The aircraft had a rough couple of days back in 2013. On a flight that departed from Cancun, Mexico to Frankfurt, Germany on June 24, 2013, the crew had to go around not once but twice upon approach to its destination before landing safely. The issue was with the gear not properly locking into place.

Now the 25th of June, D-ABUZ was quickly turned around for a flight that was to go from Frankfurt to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. However, that flight was diverted to Lajes in Portugal’s Azores Islands after experiencing electrical problems. A replacement Boeing 767-300ER (D-ABUB) was brought in to continue the flight.

On March 15, 2017, D-ABUZ was to fly from Frankfurt, Germany to Cancun, Mexico. Cruising at 36,000 feet, near St. Louis, Missouri, crew detected a possible fuel leak. The aircraft was diverted to St. Louis for a safe landing. A leak was found near the left main gear after landing safely. A replacement B763 (D-ABUP) was brought in to continue the flight.
