At over 20 years old, N359NW is actually one of Delta’s newer Airbus A320’s. The aircraft came over from Northwest Airlines in October, 2008. We photographed this Airbus A320-200 while plane spotting at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) on October 5, 2019.

N359NW performed its first flight on June 3, 1998. The Airbus A320-212 was first delivered to Northwest Airlines on July 15, 1998. The airliner moved to the Delta Air Lines fleet in October, 2008.
This A320 is configured for a maximum total of 157 passengers. There are 16 seats in first class, 18 more in premium economy and 123 economy class seats. This is one of 62 of this model in the main fleet and is among the newer of those.

Airbus A320-200
The Airbus A320 is the leader of the Airbus A320 family. The A321 is the extended version while the A319 and A318 are shrunken versions. The airplane is 38 metres or 123 feet in length with a wingspan of 36 metres or 118 feet. At the tail, the aircraft stands 12 metres or 39 feet in height. The flight range is 6,100 kilometres.
The first Airbus A320 was introduced in 1988 with Air France. Somewhere around 4,400 of the A320 have been built and around 7,500 aircraft from the A320 family have been put into service.
Delta Air Lines
The airline was founded in 1924 as Huff Daland Dusters and commenced operations as Delta Air Lines in 1929. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Delta is a founding member of the SkyTeam Alliance. Other founding members include AeroMexico, Air France and Korean Air. There are now 20 full members and the alliance is headquartered at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands.
The main Delta fleet has nearly 890 aircraft flying to 325 destinations around the world. The highest capacity airliner in the fleet is the Airbus A350-900. The most numerous in the fleet is the Boeing 737-900ER. All their Boeing 747-400 airplanes were phased out with the last retired in 2017.
