The initial variant in the Boeing 787 Family, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner entered service in 2011 with All-Nippon Airways. LOT Polish Airlines was the first European operator of the B788. The aircraft is 57 metres or 186 feet in length, 20 feet shorter than the Boeing 787-9 model. The wingspan is 60 metres or 197 feet while the height at the tail is 17 metres or 56 feet. The flight range is 13,621 kilometres, around 500 KM less than the B789.

Air Canada Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner

The first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, C-GHPQ, was delivered to Air Canada on May 14, 2014. That aircraft was also the first B788 to be painted in the Canadian airline’s latest livery. There are eight in the fleet.

This model is configured for a maximum total of 255 passengers. There are 20 seats in business class, 21 more in premium economy and 214 economy class seats.
