EI-DUO
EI-DUO performed its first flight on May 2, 2007. The Airbus A330-202 was delivered to Aer Lingus on May 25, 2007. This A332 is named St. Columba. The aircraft is configured for a maximum total of 271 passengers. There are 23 seats in business class and 248 economy class seats. This is one of five Airbus A330-200 models in the airline’s main fleet.
On October 6, 2016, EI-DUO was on the ground at Orlando International Airport in Florida after arriving from Dublin, Ireland. The airplane was unloading when a fire broke out near the rear, right side cargo door. Two of the ground workers sustained serious injuries.

Airbus A330-200
The Airbus A330-200 followed the Airbus A330-300 and is a shortened version of that variant. The first A332 entered service with Korean Air in 1998. The aircraft is 59 metres or 193 feet in length, 16 feet shorter than the A333. The wingspan is 60 metres or 198 feet and the airline stands 17 metres or 57 feet in height at the tail. The flight range is 13,450 kilometres, over 1,500 KM more than the Airbus A330-300.
Aer Lingus
Now under the ownership of the International Airlines Group, the same group that owns British Airways, Vueling and Iberia, Aer Lingus was founded and commenced operations in 1936. The Irish airline is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland on the grounds of the Dublin Airport (DUB). The airline has survived three separate takeover attempts by ultra low cost carrier Ryanair.
Aer Lingus has a fleet of more than 50 aircraft flying to close to 100 destinations. The Airbus A330-300 is currently the largest capacity aircraft in the fleet while the airline also flies the smaller Airbus A330-200. The airline was once a member of the Oneworld Alliance but left in 2007.
