Air Transat commenced operations in 1987 and is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. Their fleet stands between 40 and 50 airplanes, fluctuating seasonally. The airline visits more than 60 destinations in 30 countries.

The fleet consists of Airbus A310-300, Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300, Boeing 737-700 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. A number of the 737’s are leased from either ASL Airlines France, Smartwings, Travel Service and Transavia France.
